Many additional details of the trip (what to take, how to pack, culture, language, normal climate conditions, voltage requirements, and other helpful material) will be covered in the trip orientation manual, which you will receive at orientation or in the mail at least one month prior to your trip departure date.
INCLUDED IN YOUR MISSION PRICE
TRANSPORTATION: All travel within the country is also included.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Hotel accommodations with private bath, based on twin bedded rooms. Single rooms are available at an additional cost.
MEALS: Three meals and bottled water provided daily.
SERVICE CHARGES AND TAXES: All entrance and basic visa fees, baggage handling, portage, taxes, tips and service charges are included.
MISCELLANEOUS: All scheduled cultural events, trip interpreters, limited secondary insurance, and administrative costs.
NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR MISSION PRICE
Cost of passport, optional excursions such as a trip extension, excess baggage charges, soft drinks, laundry, long distance phone calls, and all other items not listed of a personal nature. International airfare to/from USA is not included in land trip cost. Buckner can arrange all airfare travel; cost confirmed date of booking. Contact Buckner Missions office to coordinate your flight arrangements.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
AGE: Potential trip members between the ages of 12-18 years old must get prior approval from Buckner.
ITINERARY & HEALTH: Please evaluate your personal health according to our trip itineraries. Days are full with visiting and playing with the children and walking during sightseeing. Most days are planned from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
INSURANCE: Mission trip insurance is included in your trip cost and coverage provides for accidents, medical assistance and evacuation, and limited baggage insurance. Details of coverage will be included in the orientation manual.
RESERVATIONS, DEPOSITS, AND PAYMENT: All reservations must be made through the Buckner Mission Trip Application process, with a deposit payment of $250 per person. Reservations will not be accepted by telephone. Final and full payment must be postmarked 30 days before trip. If final payment is not postmarked by that date, you risk losing your reservation. Remember that space is limited, so it is important that your final payment is made on time and your reservation is early.
CANCELLATION PENALTIES: If your written cancellation notice is postmarked more than 90 days prior to departure, you will pay the $250 non-refundable deposit plus any airline cancellation fees. All cancellations must be received in writing, either by mail, email or fax. All airline tickets are non-transferable. The Missions staff will work with you and the airline to assist you in getting any available refund.
PASSPORTS AND VISAS: All mission trip participants must have a valid passport. If you do not have a passport, you must obtain one 30 days prior to the trip departure date. All Russian, and China-bound mission trip participants will need a visa prior to departure. You must have a valid passport to apply for the visa. Buckner will secure the visa for you.
